Well, Joyful, the back story is that I told N that he has to make a list because from now on it's the only reminder he's going to have. Then, in a moment of truly divine inspiration, I told him that I'd pay him a quarter for every morning he did all the things on his list without being told. In about 2 months or so he might have enough to purchase the lava lamp he wants. This morning N got up, got dressed for church, got his baby brother up, fed them both breakfast and when I arrived in the kitchen, he was cleaning up the cheerios the baby spilled. Needless to say, he got a quarter.

That's the name of the family we carpool with. They drive in the mornings.
